Easter 20009

Fortunately the weather turned out pretty nice on our rescheduled rain date of April 13 and we had a decent crowd. Even the Easter Bunny stayed around to visit us this year.
I would like to thank everyone who came out and donated their time and effort to make this year’s Easter Egg Hunt another successful one. The students from St. Michael the Archangel School (Alaina Savarese, Sean McMachan, Luke Hollis, Josh Graves, Ryan Cary and Justin Thomas) who helped set up the grounds and hide the Easter eggs. The Linover volunteers: Ed Ronspies Jr., Bud Frank, Harry and Madge McDaniel, Anita Bollino, Vikki Creswell and those who baked cookies, brownies and cakes. Also special thanks to Pat Kowalewski for her generous donations and Marge Icke for getting the volunteers from St. Michael’s Confirmation Class to help with the activities. You can view pictures from the event on our Linover website, www.linover.org/09Easter/
This year’s coloring contest winners were 1-3 year olds – Emily Neisser, 4-5 year olds – Emily Breighner, 6-7 year olds – Hannah Surdel, 8-9 year olds – James Dunn and 10 and over – Elizabeth Hollingshead. Congratulations to them and thanks to all the children who submitted a coloring poster.
Please let us know of any suggestions and/or ideas to help improve next year’s Easter Egg Hunt. Your commitment is important and that is what keeps Linover so successful in continuing its traditions.

The Stemmers Run cleanup was a huge success. 40 volunteers collected 30 some bags of trash, metal junk, tires, and even a small transmission. All in all, Stemmers Run was a lot cleaner than last year. Congratulations to Matt and Holly Mycka for an excellent job chairing the annual Linover stream clean-up.
